I've always loved the malahat and now love more! the lookout is simply beautiful and the personal is always attentive and there is only when they need it. eating is always very good. such a great atmosphere and will certainly be back! you have to go!
For almost years I've been driving from this place, I was a regular with him dutch latch at his day, but I have now to catch up some to do with the chalet. Not only the personal attentive and friendly is the view of the lifestyles of the rich and famous. the food is delicious with many fresh ingredients and the high quality lace notch. we had the falafel package paired with a quinoa salat not on the menu, but ready to make the substitution with pleasure. the meal was so generous that we had to take the desert to the house, a blackberry boar cake and a strawberry rhubarb pipe that were excellent. the crust not as good as my grandmother, but that asks a lot, it was amazing and I would have it again. Went on a date lately with my wife. we went to dinner, there were only some other food, we waited half an hour to get a drink, min later our order was taken, finally an hour later our dinner arrived, seafood platter and a burger. both were cold when they were served, the waitress was also rude. we went and paid only for our drink. went into the rock cod caffe and enjoyed the rest of our night . will definitely never return to the malahat chalet.
Today my first time in the restaurant malabar chalet was because it changed management a few years ago. eating is much better now! fresh and local ingredients. I had the chicken pot and dirty fries. both were really good! that made my meal so much better. a bit pricier, but it's worth it. in portions was decent. my friend had the spaghetti and it was huge.
Having driven past this view haven en route to and from Victoria, my wife and I had always wanted to try it but thought it was merely a burger joint. Today we were on our way back to Duncan from the Westshore and decided it was time. Dinner included the mussels for two fresh mussels, fennel, onions, tomatoes, and Chorizo. WOW, one of the better mussel appetizers we've had in years. A delicious smoky flavor with a nice fennel finish. Could be a great meal for two with some of their Dirty Fries Highly recommended for mussel aficionados. value at a price. The menu had a great selection to choose from we decided on their spinach salad (full size and...read more
