Paulo And Bill - Shawnee

This was my first time back to Paulo and Bill for years. Our server Sariah gave my friend and I the perfect amount of attention. There when we needed something but not hover-y. She made great suggestions about the menu. We enjoyed mocktails the bartender created especially for us. We started with the garlic bread and delicious olive oil and garlic dipping sauce. My friend had fish (haddock? and she loved it. I enjoyed the house salad and the crispy shrimp appetizer as my meal. The food and service couldn't have been better. Minor suggestion--maybe resurface your tables? They looked like they'd seen better days. That said, all in all, it was a delightful experience.

We used to go to Paul and Bill‘s a lot when we lived in Lenexa. Now we live in Springhill so we went last night for the first time in a while and order our favorite entrée, chicken marsala. We always have the Viva salad and their garlic bread with roasted garlic and pesto. It was all just as good as ever and even better because we haven't had it for a while. We have tried chicken marsala a lot of other places, but Paulo and Bill's is the best by far! I would recommend it to everyone.

Nine of our friends had dinner Saturday evening. I made a reservation which we didn't need. The waitress had no personality- never smiled but did refill our water glasses frequently. One friend ordered the eggplant Parmesan. He sent it back because it was dry and hard to cut. The lasagna was a healthy portion but was dry per two friends. The calamari lacked seasoning. My husband and I split chicken Marsala and chicken piccata Very small portions snd little seasoning. The majority of our friends all concurred that the food left something to be desired. Several of us shared Cesar salads. The server had no clue who had full portion and whom split salads. When we were finished the waitress asked if we wanted anything else instead of listing the desserts or bringing out a dessert menu.

The food is amazing. However, they have stared reducing the size of the meal. You also get charged for bread which I believe they use to give with entree's. For the cost of the meal the purportion should be bigger or offered with a salad and bread.
