What a great spot! I sat at the bar and could easily tell that there were many regulars, along with people like me who were just visiting for the weekend. The service was excellent, but the food was even better, and the portions were generous for the price. My personal favorite was the pulled pork served on Texas toast and smothered in cheese—it was absolutely delicious. The woman I was with had the pierogis and said... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thelma's Sports Nook:
The food was terrible, and the service was even worse. The waitress didn't check on us at all after delivering our meals; instead, she spent 20 minutes chatting with another table. When she finally brought our check, she just placed it down without saying a word. As a result, she didn’t receive a tip. Additionally, the beer served in the pavilion was warm. I definitely won't be returning. It used to be a nice spot, b... View all feedback.
Menu items and drinks are priced fairly high compared to nearby restaurants. But the food and service is always on point. They never disappoint, it's just tough on the wallet.
My parents and I have been going to thelmas pretty much since they opened and the food was always good. That all changed yesterday when our party of 6 had lunch there. The waitress took our order right away which was great. It's around 12:15 when we got there. A few of us got salads with our meal, the waitress forgot our salads so we had to ask for them. She brought our salads out and the salad was gross. The lettuce was soggy and wilted, it had a sprinkle of cheese and 2 cucumbers. We did not get our food until over an hour later. There was only maybe 3 other tables in the restaurant at that time so the kitchen was not overwhelmed. One ordered a chicken salad, his lettuce was wilted, his plate was hot like it was sitting under the heat lamp, the fries that came on his salad were not even there and his salad meal was smaller than our side salads. They did remake it for him because he had to complain to the server. One had pulled pork sandwich that was super dry and had no bbq sauce on it. One had a turkey melt and the turkey on it was so crunchy and dry it was barely edible. 2 had pasta meals and both had noodles that were crunchy. The only edible meal that our table received was a burger. Me and my daughter both ended up with stomach aches for the rest of the night because of the terrible food. The waitress kept telling us our food is coming but I am pretty sure most of it was sitting there under the heat lamps for too long. And maybe you need to coach your waitress on taking care of all the tables not just the one with the guy she was flirting with.
Thelma's has become one of the go to places for good food at a decent price. On a recent visit I had the club sandwich. Very tasty. Nice size and the fries were fresh. They do have a wide variety of offerings. Good atmosphere also if you have a large group. Staff is always friendly and I know the management cares. Highly recommend this place. Could be a 5 star place.
What a great place!! You can not go wrong with indoor or outdoor tables, very well furnished anywhere. We had appetizers and were really impressed by them!...
Good ride, you food was garbage. Steamed wings lubricated like car exhaust gas. The broken waffles weren't much better.
