What J P doesn't like about Tara:
"I visited this restaurant for the first time today with my family, who have been regular customers over the years. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but my first impression was not great as the restroom near the entrance was subpar. Despite my excitement to try the food based on the website and menu, I was disappointed that the early bird menu was the only option available at our 4pm reservation time, with limited entrees and no steak. The food was a letdown, with dry biscuits, mediocre coleslaw, and freezer burnt entrees and vegetables. The only highlights were the bread pudding, sherbet, and the friendly staff.". What Scott C likes about Tara:
My family and I stayed at this restaurant for the weekend. The building is exquisite and has a Victorian charm, making it feel like a getaway and museum all in one. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We tried the breakfast on Saturday and the brunch on Sunday, both of which were delicious. View all feedback.

Great breakfast lunch buffet Sunday mornings. If you have never been there it's worth the trip just to see the place.

read moreTara's Stonewall restaurant offers a captivating blend of Victorian charm and warm hospitality, making it a noteworthy destination. While many diners have enjoyed exceptional meals, recent visits hint at inconsistencies in food quality and service. Guests have expressed disappointment with limited menu options, undercooked dishes, and a lack of gluten-free awareness. However, standout dishes like crab cakes and friendly service have been praised. The inviting atmosphere and festive decor make it a lovely spot to relax, leaving some patrons hopeful for a better experience in future visits. Overall, the restaurant's potential shines amidst sporadic shortcomings.
