The spoon br... read more This was my third visit, and I really enjoyed both of the dark beers. The barbecue was quite good, though not quite on par with Smoque in the city. The spoon bread was excellent, the pulled pork was very good, and the brisket was tasty but a bit fatty. The ribs were decent as well. Overall, it's the best barbecue you'll find in the northern suburbs.

Ou... read more The food was decent, but our waiter seemed overwhelmed and unable to provide good service. We had to complain twice before half of our order finally arrived. Our coffee and water were never refilled, and when they brought us takeout boxes, they didn't even include a bag— we had to ask for one. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing. We thought they might offer to comp something since half our food came out as we were finishing, but that didn’t happen. Not impressed.

Solid beer choices and great diverse mule coctail options.

Smylie Brothers is an excellent choice for both dining and enjoying a pint of beer. The wings are amazing, although the prices have inevitably gone up over the years. Still, without a doubt, it's the best place I've ever been to!
