Food delicious. I had the Fran's fried wings with yams collard greens and cornbread. My bf had spicy garlic wings and garlic peppee ranch wings with collard greens. I'm from Louisiana he's from Georgia I'm more of a TOUGH critic especially with soulfood and I must admit I was extremely impressed. Everything was fresh and seasoned well. Building was full I think one morewaitress would have been perfect for crowd.
First time trying this place. Called in order at 610pm. Was told 20 minutes for pick up. Got order at 650pm. I was there at 630pm. I specifically asked for my burger to medium. Which should be really pink inside, as you can see it was well done. Onmenu it says Dubb C bbq sauce which indicates they make their own and was anxious to try. As I sat at bar waiting on order youcan plainly see in kitchen all the big jugs of Sweet Baby Ray's different sauces. No seasoning on burger, salt and pepper.Tasted like cardboard. Not a $12 burger for sure, I can make a one better myself. The bacon was so overcooked it was burnt asyou can see. Way over priced for the quality. It was not busy, I counted 12 customers in dining area. Very disappointed. I justworked a 14 hr day and was starving so no I was not going back. The fries were very good however. The staff was very friendly ,actually there were more staff than customers. A medium burger only takes about 6 minutes to cook so why the long wait whenthere are more people working than customers? Just for the record, I only live 2 minutes from this place so it's not like Itraveled a long way home. Expected much more for a $12 burger. Should have gone to Ruby Tuesday, I know you get what you orderand the quality of meat is better.
A nice place for a taste of soul food. Had fish, greens, Mac 'n ' cheese and cornbread. Wife seemed to sneak my cornbread away from me. Guess I didn 't want my cornbread(haha). The tea was good. Sweet and cold. Servers were nice and the head chef came outand chatted with us. My family seemed to enjoy every moment. Had a steady flow of people coming in. Check them out.
These were some of the best wings I've ever had, and I'm from Buffalo. Saying that is no easy feat. The wings are much bigger than most places serve nowadays, and all of the flavors are inventive and delicious. What really makes this place great is thestaff. We were laughing with our waitress the whole time we were there, and the manager was making sure everyone had a wonderfultime. A word of caution, beware of the Oh Hell wings! A couple of my companions love trying the hottest things out there, andone wing each nearly took them down. They did say that although they were extremely hot, they still had great flavor. The wingsweren't just hot for heats sake. If you're looking for a great meal, you should definitely go here.
