Mighty Joe's Gas - Shamong
Mighty Joe's Gas
Description
Mighty Joe's blends a roadside convenience store, gas station and casual deli that appeals to travelers and locals. Standout items include breakfast pizza, pork roll egg & cheese and grab-and-go subs from a self-serve display, while sandwiches and burgers are inconsistent, sometimes overcooked or burnt. Staff are generally friendly though cleanliness and mask practices have room for improvement. Amenities include E85, kerosene, fishing/hunting permits, bait, restrooms and affordable prices, making it a handy stop along Route 206 despite mixed food reliability.

Great family-run business covering most of your daily needs. Definitely worth the stop for gas, grub, and the Gorilla if you're traveling along that great route 206 stretch, north or south bound. Give them your business.
Needed Kerosene after Snowmageddon 2. All stores out. Mighty Joe's came through! Spoke to the attendant. He said he never runs out. Less than $5 per gallon. Mighty Joe's came through when I needed. Thanks to Tractor Supply, Lumberton for recommending them.
The Best kept secret in Shamong. They have a delicious breakfast as well as an extensive lunch menu. Cold druks, coffee, pizza as well as ice cream and a large disp6of soda and drinks. You can also purchase lottery as well as hunting and fishing licenses and live bait.
Went here to grab sandwiches before heading for Atsion Lake for a beach day. We live 1hr away from the area and yet my husband has hears from someone that they serve good sandwiches so we gave it a try when we were in the area.. scared at first to try gasoline station food but oh boy WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! We had Turkey club, cheesesteak, turkey wrap and they were all delicious! and my hubby is a picky Chef soo for him to say it was good and no complaints—!! as a matter of fact headed back there for a 2nd time to grab lunch for a beach day at Atsion Lake
Corned beef special sandwich was excellent. Unfortunately, it was all taken by the pony tailed woman behind the counter hacking up a lung the whole time. Not once did she cover her mouth. Upside was that she didn't make my sandwich or even go near the woman who was. Shame on the ownership for letting her work there, let alone unmasked. Even covid vaccinated, there are worse viruses out there than covid.
