Lost Mined Brewing Company - Shamokin

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The beyond burger and fries were delicious. The live musicians on Sunday night were incredibly talented. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere had a cool theme.

After reading the previous reviews, I was excited to try the falafel or veggie burger at this restaurant. Unfortunately, they no longer offer these items but instead have Beyond and Impossible options. While this is a great choice for omnivores or plant-based eaters who enjoy the taste of meat, as a vegan, it didn't appeal to me. They have items marked as vegan on the menu, such as their mushroom stew, fries, chips, and a side of veggies. I decided to try their homemade chips and a side of veggies, which happened to be carrots that day. Despite the vegetable side being labeled as vegan on the menu, it arrived with butter on it. After confirming with the staff, I had to send it back and ask for it without butter.

The restaurant is now offering the Beyond Burger! They currently have around 10 items that are either vegan or can be made vegan. It's great to see vegan options on the menu in the Coal Region. The food is delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. The unique coal miner themed atmosphere adds to the overall experience. I am excited for when they begin serving the Beyond Burger.

We have visited the Lost Mined three times in the last two months. There aren't many vegan options in this area so we try to support any business that offer them. Their Miners Stew is a great hearty stew and their vegetarian (vegan) burger is also really good. Their falafel was dry on our first visit but was greatly improved on our last visit. If their staff doesn't have an answer to a question they graciously will find the answer.

Enjoy the beyond burgers and chips. Talented live musicians on Sunday night. Very friendly staff. Cool.
