Back Alley Pie - SEWICKLEY

It was a beautiful night so we thought we’d give this place a try. Wow what a let down. We shouldHave just turned around when we saw the little countertop ovens. The young man working there was pretty clueless about everything. We put our order in sat outside in the courtyard. After waiting for 30 minutes, my husband walked in asked if our pizza was done and the kid said “oh yeah, I was going to bring it out”. We took our short 5 minute walk home opened a cold pizza that was the WRONG order.It was pre made frozen crust, nothing artisan about it.It wasn’t even busy! I can’t imagine what they would do if it was.Seriously such a disappointment. We have had the same experience with Nauti Taco. This makes us so sad as this restaurant group has several establishments in the village.

I specifically asked for “no freezer flavor topping”. But it seems they gave me double freezer flavor topping. Who knew freezer flavor was even a topping?

Great gourmet pizza choices. Fast service. Nice outdoor seating area.

We SO wanted to like this place. We like to support local businesses, especially new ones. We were excited to see a taco pie on the menu. Toppings looked quite good on the menu. Execution was something very different. Crust was overdone and pretty bland made from frozen? . Actually, the whole pie was pretty bland. Hard to find the pieces of shredded short rib. Price $10 for 9inch, 4 cut pie would have been OK *IF* the pizza was at least remarkable and tasty. We both agreed it wasn't. Not sure if we will give it another try.

Ordered two pies tacos for take out for a date night in! Pizza was yummy. Korean was my favorite. The pineapple was a great touch. Fun to have taco and pizza options in one place!
