Was Jacque Lanham at 424 Walnut a mag?
Stopped in for an early dinner and drinks and sat at the bar. Bar tender was friendly and great with recommendations as I wanted to try new, out of my normal options, everything she recommended was great and the drink specials were fun/seasonal! The food was great! I had crab cakes the husband had some sort of pasta with scallops and it was so good! It was a bit pricey but exactly what we were expecting to pay for wh... View all feedback.
What Jim Jackson dislikes about 424 Walnut:
Really going downhill, probably because of the food and surly service. Went in to the restaurant on a Saturday night. it was empty, so they ran us out at 8:30 because they wanted to go home, even though their Google hours indicate 9PM. What great restaurant closes at 8:30 on a Saturday night? Not sure but I think the root cause is the food is way off from the days when it busy and people just don't have a reason to g... 424 Walnut restaurant offers dishes like mussels, salmon salad, lamb chops, crab cakes, and steaks. My husband and I dined here recently. Both the hostess and our waiter did an excellent job. Our standout favorites were the filet mignon and the crème brûlée. We also found the crab cakes, seared tuna, and coconut pie to be quite good. However, we thought the halibut could use more seasoning and the apple sangria lacked a true apple flavor. Overall, including the tip, we spent around one hundred dollars per person. While my husband and I were dressed in business-casual attire, we noticed some other diners in more casual clothing. As for parking, there is free street parking available at certain times and days.
We hosted a small gathering for our daughter's 16th birthday on a Sunday, and it was incredible! The food was outstanding, the staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was just right. We dined in, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The price per person was between $30 and $50, which felt very reasonable for the quality we received. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all five stars. Also, there was plenty of parking available, including paid parking lots and street options. Overall, a fantastic experience!
Absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed two shrimp cocktails and lamb chops with mashed potatoes. As for the service, I dined in, and it was excellent. The meal was for dinner, and the price per person was around $30 to $50. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at a perfect 5!
