One of the local taco places. No complaints. Great selection of sauces. This is probably the selling point compared to the other taco places around the area. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
Authentic Mexican fast food at its best. We gave up the first night due to the long queue but returned the next day for lunch. Few tables, so be prepared to eat your dish standing.
Employees were very on point and nice, building itself nothing special but clean. Got the Rockfish Taco; was large in size, well breaded but no flavor really. It needed something. It did have some hot red seasoning on it but it didn't compliment it or provide any flavor, just
Overall, a solid fast-casual taqueria. The one thing it was missing were house-made chips, salsa, and guacamole. We didn't encounter guacamole frequently in Alaska, so perhaps it's difficult to get/expensive to source there. Service was friendly and the place was packed: when all tables were taken, we were informed that The Lone Chicharrón is attached to the adjacent bar, which had a pass-through window to the restaurant. We order drinks at the bar and the restaurant would pass our order through the window to us. Unfortunately I'd left my ID in our hotel, so was not permitted to enter the bar. Thankfully by the time we'd tried that, a table had opened in the taqueria and we were able to order drinks from The Lone Chicharrón instead. We got two combo orders of tacos plus 1 extra taco (so we could try 1 of each taco on the menu). All were tasty. Appreciated the serve-yourself salsa bar. Would definitely return!
Was so lucky to come in here on a recent trip to Seward! The food was amazing! highly recommend carne tacos! They have a salsa bar so you can add what you want! Staff are amazing! Second time there I was running late to catch my train and they helped pack everything quickly and safely so I could run to catch it! My friend is vegetarian and they had great options for him also!
Easily the best mexican food in Alaska. I wish it was less than 3 hours away from me, but whenever I’m in Seward I always get me some tacos before I head back home
