David and Anda were incredibly welcoming, the wine was delightful, and the food—especially the flatbread with cauliflower and truffle oil—was outstanding. The kids absolutely loved it too. Overall, a fantastic discovery! 5/5. View all feedback.
Love this place, owner (and dogs) super friendly. great eating and weeping. one of our favorites.
For starters, the wine was so good. Really enjoyed everything they make. Then the owner was a delight, could have chatted for ages. A great doggo greeted us we left with beautiful sourdough. What’s not to love? We will be regulars I think.
What a grumpy man. He didn 't sell us on anything. He asked my 60+ parents what they wanted to drink [dismissively], and then didn 't ask me or my wife if we wanted to drink anything. When I asked if they have anything non alcoholic because my wife, who he failed to acknowledge at all, is visibly pregnant, he said they have coke, but otherwise 'nothing else for the kids. We 're a bar. ' Following this, he was incredibly rude about the food. The food took forever to come, and it felt like even longer because he was an awful presence (and didn 't offer us anymore drinks??? . He then kicked up a huff when I asked for salt and pepper. His poor wife was doing absolutely everything behind him. He needs to seriously reconsider his personality. The food was mostly quite good, but there is fresh produce growing all around, and yet no fresh food option? But don 't ask him about it, because he 'll say, 'We 're not a restaurant. We 're a bar. ' Which is ironic, because he didn 't sell us another drink or anything the long, LONG time we were sitting there. Ultimately, they need to look around. City folk are coming out to the area to try nice drinks and eat decent food. Compete, or give up. Start with a tasting paddle, at the very least!Response to David: We actually had interest in all the alcoholic drinks, I love buying beer and cider, and my parents love wine. You didn 't offer us ANYTHING. The fact that my pregnant wife wanted something she could drink does not make us people 'only looking for juice. ' What an offence. The rudeness with which you decide people 's whole character is absurd, considering you 've only come across as a relatively unpleasant human being. My father is allergic to garlic. He 's allowed to ask if the pizza with garlic can be made without garlic. Also, we had made a booking for 4 a few days prior? My mother called to let you know we were running a little late as a courtesy. You own what could be classified as a unicorn for alcohol drinkers you make wine, beer AND cider (and delicious sourdough bread ! We were really excited to enjoy your produce, and instead you were rude, dismissive and unenthusiastic about everything. You assumed my dad would drink beer (because he is a white man? . You didn 't offer me anything. You didn 't mention wines. You 're just a terrible businessman with no hospitality skills, and instead of taking any responsibility for that you would rather tell off any guests who had a bad time. Google reviews suggest we are not the only ones!
Wonderful welcome from both owners who took time to talk about their wines and beer with a genuine passion. The flatbreads were great and so filling that we couldn't finish them. We were offered a doggie-bag to take them away but unfortunately, this didn't include Benny the Lab/Staffie cross who is the real star of the show: Maybe next time.Thank you and we are looking forward to our next visit.
A well deserved 5 star rating, the 5 dishes we ordered were diverse and all tasted absolutely beautiful.. and the beer battered pickles AMAZING. The service was very welcoming and attentive, thank you.Highly recommend if your open minded in trying something unlike any other in the valley.
