What User doesn't like about Shorty's Ice Shack:
Read the reviews I was hoping for a great experience near the authentic shaved ice snowballs I got from The Castle on Hollins and Hammonds Ferry Road. (closed since Covid) It wasn't. It was like I paid a cup of ice. They lacked taste, and the ice cream was palsy. I guess my search continues. View all feedback.
After reading the reviews, I was excited to have a great experience reminiscent of the authentic shaved ice snowballs I used to enjoy at The Castle on Hollins and Hammonds Ferry Road (which has been closed since COVID). Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. It felt more like I paid for a cup of plain ice. The flavors were lacking, and the ice had a chunky texture. I suppose my search for the perfect snowball will have to continue.
This is the only snowball stand I visit now; all the others just don’t compare.
Shortys is my favorite spot in the area! I recently visited with my husband and daughter, and we all enjoyed our meals! My daughter was especially thrilled with hers!
