A fa... read more We arrived in Vouga a little later on a Friday night to our Air B and B. We were starving. Many restaurants were closing and that is how we found this gem. A family run business with an amazing owner and family as staff. I can not say enough about this place from the hospitality, service, food, to the price. Unfortunately we do not speak Portuguese well and got by with an app on our phone and the owners son in law. We felt very comfortable and the place was packed. We had ribs, chicken, sausage along with many tasty sides. The Super Bock Beer went well with dinner. The owner shared a grilled slice of pineapple with us dusted with cinnamon, delicious! He also made us a very tasty drink after dinner which tasted like dessert in a glass. We could not believe how reasonable all the above was ……..it was by far our favourite restaurant on our vacation this past month. The waiter spoke a little English and was very kind. We ordered an array of food and it was served quite quickly. All was fairly simple and tasty. It is the kind a food you'd be served in a family home. No frills, but very enjoyable and inexpensive. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to others.
