Established back in the late 18... read more Situated directly opposite the train station at Sant Miguel de Balenyà (Balenyà-Tona-Seva) You will find the fabulous El Tinell. Established back in the late 1800’s it is known by all the areas locals for its spicy chicken and hand cut Salamanca Iberian (black pig) ham. You won’t find prices on the menu but simply because everyone knows it’s super economical and fantastic food. You can have s 3 course meal a beer for approx. €20,— (euro); of course this includes a generous helping of the Catalan specialty of “pa amb tomaquet” (seasoned trellis tomato soaked toasted bread). Train from Barcelona takes Just over an hr and only costs a few euro (stop before the Girona area city of Vic (pronounced in English Bick). VICKI Sydney Australia
