My wife and I had a two week break in Setubal to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, in that time we ate at only four restaurants, two of them only once, on... read more My wife and I had a two week break in Setubal to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, in that time we ate at only four restaurants, two of them only once, one of them twice and Saribas nine times. This is a restaurant with much to offer but the friendliness of the owners Pedro Claudia was greater then I have experienced in many, many years. Our first lunch lasted over three hours due to the fact that the couple were happy to give time to strangers. My wife had grilled fish which she described as one of the best cooked she had ever tried whilst my chicken stew was delicious. Desserts were really good the Molotov in particular) The bill for two of us including 2 litres of wine came to 22 Euro, I couldn't believe it especially as we were presented with complimentary fresh oysters served in the shell on a bed of hot rock salt, beautiful! On the basis of that first visit and the extreme friendliness we booked for the following Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the Saturday evening I asked Claudia where I could get some roses for my wife for our anniversary the next day she offered to get them for me despite how busy they must be, I furthered asked if the could get me a really good bottle of bubbly. On the Sunday lunch I was able to surprise my wife with a bouquet of magnificent roses and we rounded off the meal with some wonderful fizz. There were also more oysters presented but this time served hot tempura style) on a special bread with red peppers, again absolutely beautiful. During our times here we received a number of thoughtful little gifts to take home from Claudia and Pedro. The food was always excellent, portions large too large for me I think) the local Lisbon wine Claudia suggested was wonderful and at 6.50 Euros was the bargain of our holiday. This is a lovely place to relax, not formal, not very big but it was without doubt the highlight f our holiday, Claudia Pedro thank you for looking after us so well With love Paul Cathy
