We've been going to the conca for many years, since I was a kid and since Grandma was a big girl. homemade pasta with traditional sauces always excellent, vegetables and seconds from their farm. lovely staff, all the place and family. excellent and sincere food. also pizzas are very good, to roman, crisp and thin, and you can choose what to put on it. super prices. What to say, every time and a party when we go!

Dazzle of not younger, we say bark with experience and prices above the average place

If you appreciate good traditional food, Cesanese wine and excellent service at a moderate cost, then you will not be disappointed at La Conca in the small village of La Forma outside of Serrone in Lazio.

We stopped here on a Saturday while driving from Subiaco and Montecassino. The place was empty when we arrived around 12:30, but locals began arriving later. The dining area is clean and spacious. The decor is nondescript, but I don't go to restaurants for decor. There was no menu. The waiter, a pleasant young man, listed six or so dishes that were available for the first course. To me, this is generally a good sign because it means that the ingredients are fresh and the food is all prepared on the premises. On the other hand, if you don't understand Italian well, it could be a problem. The waiter seemed to understand English, but made no attempt to speak it with us. Two of us had potato gnocchi with a red sauce flavored with pork. The other member of our party had the lasagna. None of us were disappointed. For the second course, the waiter again listed around six dishes. I chose the beef strips topped with arugula and a sauce whose ingredients I could not identify (but was very tasty). My only complaint is that the beef was stringy, but that is most often the case in Italy. My two companions both ordered pork cutlets, and they were both satisfied. Even with wine, water and coffee, our bill only came to about €25 per person.
