Even though it’s a bit pricey (given it’s so remote I guess it must be ok) the place is just right: if you order juice or a soft drink it’s a proper one, if you order food it’s a proper one. The vibe of the place is also pleasant.
What a drama. Service was a disaster. Waited 39 minutes for our drinks. Food was simply horrible, the curry worst was very bad and the spareribs were simply horrible. Never again
Last week we visited this beautiful mountain lodge several times for lunch and one time for their famous ‘fondue night’ on Wednesday. Despite exceptional rush during lunch time due to ‘Kaiserwetter’ staff remained friendly and helpfull. The absolute rock (star) in this scene is Adam. Always sharp and serving the best. Try the flame grilled Hamburger after you started with the ‘rauchern Lachs’ or the salad with shrimps. With blue skies and good company does n’t it get any better than this ..
We went here for a lunch during our skiing holiday. We wanted to sit outside in the sun. Place enough on the new lounge area. Not too strange we found out. Everything was soaking wet because the snow was was not removed from the furniture before it started melting. We ordered drinks and a typical tyrolean dish Tiroler Gröstle. We could see that our drinks (coca cola) were filled from a machine. The glass was only 3/4 filled and was topped with soda water after that. Result: cola like a bad B-brand can taste. The Gröstle was also very disappointing. It was not a dish with dry roated/backed potatoes, it just was boiled potatoes in a brown juice, making them coloured like baked. Also the meat that should be of various types and baked with the potatoes was clearly single type thin sliced separately added meat. All together this was the most expensive lunch in this week. It was also the one with the lowest quality. This looks not logical to me. Next time we will go for a better lunch at a lower price.
The charm of your hamburger, spare ribs or sausage being grilled in the open sky is one that you can experience here. It takes a bit of effort to get to this restaurant, but is totally worth it. The food is always amazing (we keep coming back year after year). Their dishes always surprise us in quantity and quality.
