I have tried Jajangmyun (black bean noodle), Jjamppong, eggplant Tangsu, and Mapo tofu rice at this restaurant. The Mapo tofu, although a new addition to the menu, was unfortunately disappointing. However, the rest of the dishes were extremely delicious!

This restaurant is definitely worth all the hype. While the prices can be on the expensive side (25,000 for the eggplant), the quality of the food makes it worth every penny. The japchae was absolutely amazing, with incredible flavors. The restaurant was packed just 7 minutes after opening, so it's advisable to arrive early to secure a table.

As of February 2023, it appears that the restaurant has undergone changes in ownership and staff, including the chefs. The food now has a different taste compared to before. This establishment offers delicious Korean-Chinese cuisine that can be made vegan upon request, although vegan options are not listed on the menu, making it a spot for those in the know. It is beneficial to be able to speak Korean or Chinese to communicate your dietary preferences. It is recommended to inform the staff right away that you are vegan by saying "Wǒ chī sù de. 我吃素的." This way, the chef can tailor a few dishes for you. The hand-made noodles in dishes like Jjamppong (짬뽕) and Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) are particularly impressive. Personally, I find the fried mushrooms in Kkanpunggi-style (깐풍버섯) and sweet-and-sour mushrooms (탕수버섯) to be better here than at other Chinese restaurants in Korea. Keep in mind that the restaurant can get noisy during peak meal times due to its popularity among non-vegan customers. The bright and clean atmosphere, although simple, is pleasant with its large windows. The restroom facilities are located outside. Overall, if you are in the mood for Korean-Chinese cuisine, this restaurant comes highly recommended. (Review updated from previous visit in June 2019)

Mushroom tangsuyuk, eggplant with chilli sauce, vegan jjambbong, and vegan jjajangmyun were all excellent. Would love to return.

I came here with high expectations for the eggplant with chili sauce, and it met my expectations. The tofu stuffing added good texture. The vegan jajangmyun was also delicious. Unfortunatley the spoon was a bit oily on the handle.
