"Outstanding dining experience! I had lunch at this restaurant, and I couldn't be more pleased. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5, and the service was equally impressive, also rated a 5. The price per person was between £40 and £50, which felt well worth the quality provided. Highly recommend!"
I had a wonderful lunch today at Compton McRae, which we discovered while driving home from Devon on the A303. The staff was friendly, and the food was intriguing and exceptionally well-prepared. The kimchi and cheese toastie was outstanding! It's a perfect stop for a long drive, and I really enjoyed browsing the bookstore next door. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely return!
Amazing food and setting. Worth a visit. Lovely shop stocked with delicious and unusual things.
We came across this place by accident and first impressions were quite good but have to say that did not last long. Having read that others thought the service excellent, I felt that there must have been a change in staff as it was quite shambolic. The food here is very expensive even for a farm shop and some of the staff were not very welcoming and we felt that their training had been sparse to say the least, so sadly will not be returning despite the location.
