Stayed here for a couple of nights, room was comfortable if a little dated. The food is excellent, just make sure you are hungry as the portions are enormous! Breakfast is absolutely fantastic possibly the best full English I can remember. View all feedback.
What petecorgi1 doesn't like about The Angel Inn:
It worked out to be £40 per head for 2 courses, including Drinks 1 wine, Shandy’s. And a couple of cokes, food was very disappointing, portions were small DO NOT waste £12 on the scallop starter, we both looked at each other and laughed tiny, I mean really small, I then had cod and chips, batter was nice which was lucky as the fish inside was very small, is ok for pub grub, as that is all it is, my friends bought me... Located in the picturesque village of Hindon in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, we stumbled upon this charming pub while out for a leisurely drive in the sun. Initially, we had planned on just stopping for a quick drink at one of the outdoor tables. However, after perusing the menu, we couldn't resist indulging in a delicious lunch. Kathy opted for the megrim sole, while I enjoyed the calves liver. Both dishes were of exceptional quality and cooked to perfection. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning for another meal in the future.
We visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch and were extremely impressed. They offered a delicious, hearty roast that catered to both vegans and meat eaters, accompanied by a smooth house red wine and tasty local ale. The staff were accommodating and friendly, even allowing us to move tables multiple times to find a romantic setting. The manager/owner was patient and the overall service was excellent. Special thanks to Miranda.
Came here for lunch on a sunny Friday. Sat outside in their covered courtyard with heaters on. Nice menu and good service. Pizza and the burger were very good and great value too.
Chance booking of a venue for a meal before Christmas meeting up halfway. Food was fantastic. Service was warm and genuine. We were not rushed and were made to feel very welcome. Curried lamb pie was very good (and big)! Haddock delicious. Beautiful pub. A real find and we will be back.
The Grosvenor Arms is a cracking place and perfect for eating and drinking at the end of a walk in the stunning local area. Food was fantastic quality, the staff super welcoming and helpful, it was dog friendly and it had some great vegan options. Thoroughly recommended.
