With a vintage yet modern feel, Mr Pilgrims is a short stroll from the Semaphore foreshore offering a great variety of delicious brunch/lunch dishes. Fresh produce cooked well...yum :)

They were extremely accomm... read more Gorgeous little place on Semaphore Road with great coffee (may be the best coconut milk latte I've ever had) and simple, lovely food. They were extremely accommodating of our veganism and offered a range of substitutions and additions which is rare. The only downside was the slowness of the service which really does need to be worked on. Despite the wait we will definitely be back. The mushroom burger was moreish and flavoursome and the chips were crisp with fluffy interiors and perfectly seasoned. Great work!

When I ask for a particular piece of cake I was told I would get what I was given by a man who wasn 't even serving me!! and the loud voice came from behind the coffee machine. Embarrassing experience given there were other customers in the café.

I ordered a Smashed Avocado, Poached egg extra) and a mug flat white $22.80 total). My coffee came out first and BOOM! fantastic. I managed to finish the coffee before the food came out. The food looked a bit underwhelming at first but after closer inspection looked the goods. The 2x) pieces of toast seemed a bit on the smaller side, but the amount of avocado was more than fair. Although not mind blowing, the food was fresh, tasty, and enjoyable, and more than satisfying in the end. My main and usual) criticism, is when ordering poached egg as an extra, serve 2x poached eggs for each piece of toast. How much is an egg seriously). Also, the dish came with a slither of lemon, which only really served as a garnish. I would much rather a wedge which I could have squeezed on the avocado. Both criticisms certainly didn’t sour my visit this morning. All in all, an enjoyable breakfast this morning at Mr. Pilgrim. Great value for buck, and that coffee was the bomb!! I’ll be back for sure..
