We've always wanted to visit but never actually made the effort to. It was until one day when they decided to distribute a little discount voucher of 35% so a friend grabbed it and we finally, decided to make our visit. Saga Wagyu Moriawase (RM265). This platter is to die for: whatever cuts those are, everything melts in the mouth!
Saga beef was delicious. <br/ Garlic fried rice a must order, I find it extra savoury then the usual garlic fried rice. Taste more Chinese like than Japanese. In a good way. <br/ Service was impeccable. <br/ The only short side was the spicy octopus. The octopuses were extremely small, and the dish was small portion too. <br/ <br/ I would say generally was good. The star was the saga beef.
My visit was near closing time so I didn’t have the hassle of dealing with crowds. My order was very promptly delivered and it was not a let down. The meat was fresh and very good! My desire for yakiniku ie. BBQ meat was totally satisfied. The shop ambience was good with an authentic Japanese feel lots of sake bottles on display. The ventilation was good so I didn’t leave smelling like I bbq ed myself as well. I would repeatedly go visit if my wallet allows for it. Pricing wise, it is averagely reasonable for the quality of meat they are providing.

If quality comes before quantity for you, then Gyukingu is one place you just cannot miss. <br/ <br/ While you’re here, you MUST try their garlic fried rice. This undoubtedly is one of the best fried rice (flavourful and full of ‘wok hei’ I have ever had and I was so surprised to find it here. <br/ <br/ In fact, Gyukingu is a worth a visit just for the garlic fried rice alone because IT IS that good!
