Ca Na Toneta - Selva

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while. The location is quite remote, but that makes this beautiful restaurant in a tiny village even more special. Every little detail has been taken care of, from the reception area with a little shop and garden terrace to enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine- and from the restaurant building next door where the napkins match the staff uniform to another terrace area where you can have dinner till late. And you’re likely to be there till late as the 10 course dinner will easily take up your entire evening making this place a great night out. Everything on the menu is local and absolutely delicious. It’s on the expensive side for Spanish standards (10 course tasting menu was €82 at time of writing) but it’s very much worth it. Wines on the other hand were not too bad (between €22 and €50 per bottle). Will definitely go here again on my next trip to beautiful Mallorca!

Ca na Toneta is a secret spot in mallorca that provides an outstanding overall experience. We had an absolutely unique unmatched evening a culinary trip into the local Spanish cuisine. Make sure to reserve a spot a week in advance at minimum, as the overall capacity is below 20 parties, which makes the whole restaurant feel more like you’d be sitting in someone’s home which even is the case here. The experience starts with an aperitif behind their shop, on a nicely set terrace, with a view on the gardens, while you wait to be seated one party at a time. Thus, there is no overwhelming inflow of guests or real waiting time, which also allows the servers to not be stressed out and offer a personal touch and explanation of the current menu. The staff was great and overall service was extraordinary. Two sisters founded the company 27 years ago out of a respectable ethical and respectable fashion. Have a look at their website or Instagram and you’ll see what I mean. The menu changes every month and is a set 9 course menu. All ingredients are locally sourced, sustainably produced and regionally grown. The setting is very cozy and perfect for a date night. Local artists decorate the courtyard every season. Additionally, there is a lot of greenery and grape vines cover the patio. The tableware is handmade and specially crafted ceramic ware, also from local artisans. This is rounded off with cute Wood ware serving tools also uniquely made for the restaurant. Make sure you bring some time, as we’ve spent over four hours enjoying the stay. A shop complements the restaurant where you can buy most items used by the cooks and servers. Prices are on the higher end and are completely adequate, keeping in mind the origin of the idea for the business. If you’re looking for a unique, cozy experience that rivals most high class gastronomies, even outdoes most chic places, Ca na Toneta is my absolute recommendation.

Súper agradable. Amables al recibirte, tiene una entrada con un jardín muy bonito donde además puedes descubrir una tienda maravillosa. Para cenar, el espacio muy cuco. We went for the lunch tasting menu with wine pairing. Disappointed by our experience, especially since I heard such great things! Tasting menu was good, but not amazing- as others have mentioned it was veggie and fish based (which I love but it wasn’t very substantial. The atmosphere is cute and casual. Normally my preferred dining experience. However, we were seated up in the attic, away from other guests, and there wasn’t music or anything playing. I didn’t love feeling sequestered like that. Trying the local Mallorcan wines was fun, and the team was clearly passionate about the wine and food. While good, this was far too expensive for the value of the meal and the wine. We loved everything about our experience at this restaurant. It was well worth the 1 hour drive (there are cute hotels in the village, consider booking a night there . Everything from the welcome to the end of the meal is thoughtfully done, each dish shows an intention to represent the surroundings of the island. The atmosphere at night is amazing. We took the tasting menu and loved each course. What’s nice about the food is that it’s simple so that you taste all the local fresh ingredients. We loved the local exclusive wine.
