Tucked beside a gas station off I-95, Sami’s is a hidden gem serving authentic New York-style pizza and Italian fare in North Carolina. Long praised for its rich flavors and generous portions, Sami’s has earned a loyal following with standout dishes like their large 18-inch pies and chicken parm. While the original family ownership was known for warm hospitality, recent changes in management have led to mixed experiences; some patrons note declines in food quality and service, citing inconsistent staff and atmosphere shifts. Despite this, Sami’s continues to draw fans who appreciate its genuine taste and value, making it a noteworthy stop for pizza enthusiasts.

Was User at Sami's Pizza a mag?
The food is always better when Dad(owner) is there. There's a real difference in taste when someone else is running the business. Bread is harder, service is slower, etc. Even the New York attitude can be tolerated when the food is this good. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Sami's Pizza:
I ordered a pizza and an italian hoagie. The meat in the hoagie was not a meat I would recognize in an italian hoagie. I asked if they put oil and vinegar on the hoagie and was told it was italian dressing which would have been ok but it came with mayonnaise on it, which is unacceptable. I will never order from here again. Don't waste your money on a subpar pizza. View all feedback.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent, but I noticed a new pizza chef who seemed familiar. I observed him playing on his phone instead of making my pizza promptly after the order was given to him. It took over 10 minutes for him to finally make my pizza, without washing his hands. Despite the great quality of the subs, I was disappointed by this experience and contemplated informing the manager about the issue.
I had dinner at this restaurant on a Monday night and was shocked to witness the owner, Jeff, screaming at a cashier for taking 20 minutes to take my order. It is much better to visit when his son and girlfriend are working instead. Although they get busy, they have fewer workers and the father tends to leave them during busy weekends. If you have dined at this restaurant before, you would know that Jeff is the most overbearing one of them all. The workers are terrified of making mistakes. Despite this, the food and service are great. The steak special is highly recommended.
It's a shame that a restaurant that makes great food, has the worst service and attitude I have ever seen. The owner Jeff and his wife are great, but when the son is their food quality and customer sefvice is terrible. They become unorganized and orders pile up. The son will yell and cuss at the help in front of customers, this is poor business, and the girls are wearing regular t-shirts with their bra's and skin showing throught the sweat. I hope Jeff makes changes before it is to late. They say their business has dropped I wonder why????????
So much better now that the new Italian owners have taken over and they have free delivery to Princeton!
