Hidden away in a small narrow alley, behind the drugstore, this little restaurant is beautifully decorated and serves honest, oriental (turkish) food. No frills, just nice food at a nice price! The people from Sélestat come here for lunch, so better make reservations! View all feedback.
What Élisabeth Boulanger doesn't like about Istanbul:
I went here to celebrate my 12 year old sons birthday. When the waiter came by to take our order I asked if they had any birthday dishes or anything special for my son. They called him to the kitchen for his birthday and I stayed at the table to finish order the soup and salad combo. My food came out and inside my soup I saw my part of my sons legs and arms. I was thoroughly disgusted that the soup didn 't even taste... View all feedback.

After three previous meals in Selestat ,on the way to and return from Italy ,how pleased we were to try this friendly and welcoming restaurant. Our previous meals , mainly in pizzeria style restaurants, were not only very unfriendly with poor service but nothing special. The waiter was so helpful and our meals were massive . We ordered brochettes and the lamb was delicious . I greedily also asked for a feta salad which was a meal in itself . Plus, who would have dreamed Turkish red wine could be so much better than the house red in the other places we tried. It was spotlessly clean excellent toilets too) , great ambience and comfy seating . It seemed family run and the chef was concerned to make sure we enjoyed our choice . This was such a change from our previous experiences both in Selestat and Colmar . We were gutted we didn't try this sooner . If you are unfamiliar with Turkish food don't panic , you can't go wrong with the delicious meat dishes . We would definitely return on our next trip and not consider anywhere else .

Atmosphere, food and service was superb and for the price it was excellent. I would definitely recommend it for something a bit different and very authentic.
Improvised evening with friendson has feasted, the dishes are good and copied ;)a good value for money. We almost felt on vacation on this terrace!
