Sonali in Tadcaster has made a comeback after a flood and customers are thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food has surpassed expectations. Dishes like Chicken Tikka Korahi and Chicken Chaat are beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service even during busy times. The portions are generous and the menu has a wide selection. Despite a previous reputation for inconsistent service, recent visits have been nothing but positive. Sonali is a hidden gem that promises a delightful dining experience for anyone who appreciates top-notch Indian cuisine.

This is a friendly place that we dropped in at one evening on spec.The food was good and the staff were reasonably friendly. The decor is mostly quite tired and as of summer 2015, was very much in need of repainting.Tadcaster has very few later night alternatives and so this place should get by well... View all feedback.
Not sure why Trip Advisor still claiming this is the top Indian eatery in Tadcaster. It was closed when we went out of our way to visit and there was no sign of it re-opening
This is up there with the very best Indian meals I have had. Welcomed into a lovely clean restaurant by two very polite welcoming members of staff. Started with poppadoms and pickle tray, following by a Mixed Kebab and a Shami Kebab and for mains...we had a Chicken Tikka Korahi, Sonali Special, Fried Rice and Garlic Naan. All of the food was fresh, tasty and spiced perfectly. The staff were great, asked us how long we wanted between courses and were not pushy at all. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be calling again soon, what a find!

This restaurant is one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. We were welcomed into a clean and lovely restaurant by two very friendly staff members. All of the food was fresh, tasty, and perfectly spiced. The staff were excellent, asking us how much time we wanted between courses and not being pushy at all. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning soon - what a great find!
We have visited this restaurant three times while visiting family in the area. What can I say? It is the best Indian food that my husband and I have ever had! From the pickle tray to the food to the wine - everything was amazing. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Five stars! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
