A wonderful experience in every respect: exquisite menu, inexpensive wines, relaxed atmosphere. I am reluctant to give all this praise, because I want to go again and again and not want the small kitchen to be booked out Menono when I make a reservation. Note: Make sure there is only one menu, but after booking you can mention what you don't like and two of us skipped the cheese course.
What a positive surprise in this small ski resort! Located in an old charming house with lots of wood, small restaurant with only 5-6 tables, all very tastefully decorated in a modern Alpine style. There is a beautiful wine cellar where you can enjoy the aperitif and also choose your wine. The whole place is really stylish. The owner couple are very friendly and powerful hosts, they know their business and make your evening a wonderful experience. The food is excellent. There is only one menu, but you can see if there is something you don't want or can't eat. The starter, a combination of smoked salmon and tuna tar was excellent- top quality and great taste. The next course was to die for: Ravioli filled with truffle and spinach with parmesan cheese, the pasta itself and the filling were all excellent quality. The beef was very tasty, but not very tender. Then they offer very good cheese, followed by a beautiful dessert (combination of almond perfume, chocolate mousse, chocolate cake), again very good. Beautiful selection of wines (from different regions) with reasonable prices. This was really a wonderful experience that I can highly recommend! Definitely the best restaurant in the village and perhaps even in the region!
Mengia und Erwin bewirten ihre Gäste in freundschaftlichen Rahmen. Die kulinarische Reise beginnt im Weinkeller, welcher direkt unter dem Gastraum liegt und wie ein Tresor mit ausgesuchten Preziosen bestückt ist. Vorzügliche Weine mit Häppchen im stimmungsvollen Raum machen den Einstieg in die Kulinarische Reise. Danach gehts weiter mit dem Ueberraschungs-Menue von Erwin zusammengestellt und eigenhändig gekocht. Erwin und Mengia bewirten nur nach Voranmeldung...das machen sie vorzüglich und mit Herzblut. Bravo für diese Meisterleistung an Gastfreundschaft.
This is such a tricky restaurant to book, but if you can get a table, it is worth waiting. Spectacular food and so beautiful people.
