my wife and I drove from the west of midlands to the pub to bring my sister to lunch. we ordered from the special menu xmas, which must be selected a few days in advance. the pub was recommended to us because we were able to take the dog. excellent service that was eating great and the portions great. other people chose from other menus and everyone had not only a good time, but was interacting with the personal and... What User doesn't like about White Willows:
I enjoy meeting friends for white wine, but recently, when I tried to order a pot of tea at the bar, I was told they were too busy and all the cups had been washed, so I couldn't have one. This happened twice and I was completely shocked. I have never experienced anything like this before - being denied a pot of tea. All I can say is good luck to anyone who wants tea when they are short-staffed. View all feedback.
During my short visit to Somerset, I let my cousins from Taunton choose a meeting spot for us and they settled on The White Willow, conveniently located halfway between my accommodation and their homes. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the car park, which is managed by a third party with steep charges. I had previously received a parking fine from a similar setup so I was cautious this time. Customers are required to check in and register their car details on a tablet, with a maximum of two hours of free parking. After already having a meal at a carvery in Bridgwater, I opted for something light while my cousins ordered their food. My chicken Caesar salad was a bit on the dry side, but the dessert made up for it. Overall, I would consider dining here again if I am in the area, although that depends on my budget. Coming all the way from Melbourne, Somerset seems quite far away.
The restaurant is spacious yet cozy, thanks to the well-designed layout and lighting. The quirky chairs added a fun touch. The food was excellent, especially the salad and crumble from the set lunch menu. The service was friendly and helpful. Thank you to all the staff, we would love to come back when we are in the area again.

My wife and I and our granddaughter lived in bridgewater and saw the menu for the white willow, which appeared good for us and our granddaughter. After we had eaten the satisfactory meal, we asked to pay, and that is where the situation was somewhat strange, the least to say. the lady who served us presented us with the card reader, but there was no bill and no amount displayed on the device, asked us to click on the machine. without a clear look at the bill or even the height of it, we then asked for a bill to show that we pay for what we had, as well as to ensure that everything was correct. that was when the situation went to a question and asked of us when the womb served us, then went to the point and with the womb, which seemed to be responsible, began to take the reception after reception and to tear it down after the end to us and a correct calculation regarding what we had eaten and drink. this can happen in all innocence, but in contemplating the fact to ask us to pay with a click on the machine that does not show any order and then all the strange acts after that even get a bill that shows our purchase and then us with the correct bill, let us ask if this was acceptable practice or something else! it was difficult to be absolutely safe and leave us with a doubt about the whole process.
