During my short visit to Somerset, I let my cousins from Taunton choose a meeting spot for us and they settled on The White Willow, conveniently located halfway between my accommodation and their homes. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the car park, which is managed by a third party with steep charges. I had previously received a parking fine from a similar setup so I was cautious this time. Customers are required to check in and register their car details on a tablet, with a maximum of two hours of free parking. After already having a meal at a carvery in Bridgwater, I opted for something light while my cousins ordered their food. My chicken Caesar salad was a bit on the dry side, but the dessert made up for it. Overall, I would consider dining here again if I am in the area, although that depends on my budget. Coming all the way from Melbourne, Somerset seems quite far away.

The restaurant is spacious yet cozy, thanks to the well-designed layout and lighting. The quirky chairs added a fun touch. The food was excellent, especially the salad and crumble from the set lunch menu. The service was friendly and helpful. Thank you to all the staff, we would love to come back when we are in the area again.

We went in for a guick coffee just after midday, not too busy. Ordered at the bar and sat down, after ten minutes I said to my partner a bid slow getting the drinks so I went to the bar to see and they had...not even started making them. I got the impression that everything was just to much effort the the staff so we walked out thirsty.

I enjoy meeting friends for white wine, but recently, when I tried to order a pot of tea at the bar, I was told they were too busy and all the cups had been washed, so I couldn't have one. This happened twice and I was completely shocked. I have never experienced anything like this before - being denied a pot of tea. All I can say is good luck to anyone who wants tea when they are short-staffed.

The work of home is never the best. if they book a table in pub about their accommodation and they are immediately greeted with a warm welcome, it makes the dinge so much better. when that is not enough, we were greeted at a table by the most beautiful young lady named bronwyn. she was so attentive to our needs and always came to us with a warm smile that we had to book the next day and again the next day. two days later she served us again and remembered everything we had asked for earlier and also those we had laughed about. this young lady, due to her warm, polite, naturally nurturing, has earned this facility in my eyes a top rating. we go back to two weeks and will eat again every night. we make bronwyn and never lose this charming personality. bbyn williams mbe
