What Pansypeach doesn't like about Fyne Court Cafe:
What a con. £3.10 for a cuppuccino which was made with a machine, just press A button and it “makes” a cappuccino in three seconds. Nothing more than an instant Nescafé with Cadbury’s hot chocolate sprinkles on frothed up milk (not traditional steamed milk). The carrot cake might have been nice three days ago when it was made. Tables were also filthy and had what looked like bogeys on them. View all feedback.
If you are alone with your dog, it can be challenging to order food at this restaurant. Dogs are not allowed in the cafe area, but it is also not recommended to leave them outside unattended. It might seem like a small issue, but it creates a predicament for solo diners with pets. There seems to be an expectation that there is another person to help with ordering. Unfortunately, this led to the decision to leave and dine at home instead.
Quite small compared to many NT cafes with a consequentially limited choice, but it’s a pleasant enough spot, at least outside in the courtyard. Inside seating is very limited and lacks much in the way of any atmosphere. Hot food was limited to sausage rolls, pasties and so on in a cabinet next to the ‘fridge, but at about 1:30pm on our Saturday lunchtime visit there was just one item left, so it seems as though there are problems with stock control. I opted for a Millionaire’s Shortbread and this was a very generous portion with a lovely thick and oozy layer of caramel. Across the table a slice of Victoria Sponge was also well received. An accompanying latte was ok, nothing really wrong with it, but I’ve certainly had better. Overall, worth popping in if you’re there anyway, but don’t bother making a special journey.

Luscious Sicilian Lemonade, millionaire shortbread and a walk. The pasties cooking looked and smelled amazing ...
