Bos Cafe - Sedgemoor
Bos Cafe
Description
Nestled in a vibrant locale, this restaurant offers a mix of exceptional and lackluster experiences. While many patrons rave about generous portions, delicious food, and friendly service, others express disappointment over poor ingredient quality, service mishaps, and unwelcoming staff interactions. Frequent visitors celebrate its cleanliness and consistent excellence, particularly praising dishes like gammon steak. However, some diners have noted a decline in service standards, with unaddressed complaints and unfriendly staff leaving a sour taste. Overall, while this spot holds promise, it seems to be grappling with inconsistent service that could influence repeat visits.

I went for lunch and was extremely disappointed. The food was not good quality and the portion sizes were small. The prices were high compared to other nearby restaurants and cafes. When I complained about my wife's food, the waiter just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. This was our first and last visit, as there are many better dining options nearby.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was quick, and the young women working there were very friendly. However, our experience was soured by one man at the end. We had planned to stay longer and enjoy dessert, but our parking was running out and we needed to add more time. We had already spent £80 and asked if they could give us change in a £20 note. The girl was about to agree, but then the man stepped in and refused. Despite explaining our situation, he insisted on giving us two £10 notes (which could not be used at parking meters). Earlier, he had been rude to another staff member over a mix-up. We felt unappreciated and decided to leave. While this restaurant has great potential, some staff members need to improve their customer service skills. The food is affordable and tasty, but the service was lacking.
If you're feeling hungry and looking for a place to eat, then this is the spot for you. I tried the gammon steak with egg, chips, peas, and tomato. I've had gammon steak at other cafes before, but never one as large and satisfying as the one I had here. It filled me up for the day and was cooked perfectly.
Charming little café with excellent food and friendly service. I always make it a point to stop by whenever I visit Burnham.
