Bonefish Grill - Secaucus
Bonefish Grill
Description
An inviting seafood-focused chain delivers elegant, conversation-friendly dining with standout plates—calamari, bang‑bang shrimp, stuffed cod—and a memorable cheesecake. Many guests praise friendly, attentive servers, quick service, flavorful drinks and convenient parking at moderate prices. Experiences vary, however: occasional underseasoned or dry fish, inconsistent service (including unrefilled waters) and an automatic gratuity policy have been reported. Overall it’s a recommendable spot for date nights, lunches or group dinners if management tightens consistency and front‑of‑house training.

Waiters need sensitivity training for non-white customers. DEI training would suffice unless you’re into this “anti woke -trash campaign.” Really when you think about the world is a much better place when we celebrate diversity. Parking: Great place to park! I love this Bonefish Grill location! We had a great waiter named Tucker who was knowledgeable, friendly and most of all attentive, down to the smallest detail. It was my friend’s birthday and he really made him feel so special when he brought out the molten lava cake. Crab cakes here are like no other place you‘ll find and one of the many reasons we keep going back. They have this cute mini martini flight with three delicious drinks for just $12! I’m in! They finally upgraded their sangria game and introduced an amazing blackberry sangria. We ordered bang bang shrimp which is our mainstay, the calamari, and tried the beef ginger potstickers for which we will be coming back! I’m a on diet I swear but the bread! Can we talk about the bread?! Okay, so I am a bit excited over our meal of apps but just wanted to say thank you to the amazing chefs and team at this Bonefish Grill in Secaucus NJ. You really made our night a memorable one! Came for a birthday dinner and a much needed cocktail! From the moment we entered our Hostess Debra was warm and welcoming. She made some great suggestions and seated us shortly... Then our server Chris told us about the promotional menu.. salmon on the cedar plank, brussel sprouts and jasmine rice were ahhhmazing! The bang bang shrimp was an exceptional choice! And my dirty martini was no disappointment. The warm brownie was very thoughtful. Thank you again, I'll be back. From the moment we entered, the waiter Eric (a bold guy) assigned to our table carried an air of indifference, his expressions grim and unwelcoming throughout our stay. This attitude was particularly evident in his neglect to refill our water glasses, a basic courtesy in any dining establishment. Despite our polite requests for more water, he chose to blatantly ignore us, further souring our experience. It’s unfortunate that the behavior of one individual can so dramatically impact the overall impression of a restaurant. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to address such issues promptly, ensuring that all guests are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve, irrespective of their background. I traveled from NY to Secaucus SPECIFICALLY for 5 pieces of the key lime cake. Please don't raise the price but that is the best cake I've ever had. I dessert dine for leisure, that cake by far tops anything I've tasted. The sauce/ garnish takes the cake. Only downside I wish it was more of a fluffier angel cake texture but the sauce (its not a sauce its more milk- gives it the tres Leche taste without as much Leche give it the sweet accommodating taste to pair with the coconut . It's taste like a key lime coconut cheesecake /light -tres leche , if that makes sense. I wish I dined in , I'd get a scoop of ice cream. 10/10 on that dessert. The first time I had a steak but It wasn't cooked to my liking. I'm the med/well diner also , so take with that as u wish. That cake though , everyone should try it at least 1x. You deserve it!
