The staff memb... read more I needed a quick lunch today, so I decided to try Taproot for the first time. I saw a hot Italian sandwich on their specials menu and ordered it. The staff member informed me it would take about 10 minutes, so I took a brief walk before returning to find my sandwich ready. It was absolutely delicious! I really hope they make it a permanent menu item. The sandwich had excellent cuts of meat, olives, and a few cherry tomatoes, all served on a fantastic bun. I will definitely be coming back. One suggestion would be to offer paper menus instead of relying solely on a QR code that directs you to the website.

This place is incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night. As you walk in, it has the vibe of a dimly lit, unpretentious local bar. However, the dinner menu showcases some impressive culinary skills. We tried the crab bisque, a beet and orange supreme salad, prosciutto with olives, eggplant parmigiana, braised short ribs, and finished off with a house-made lemon tart for dessert! Wow! I don’t even need to emphasize "house-made" because everything here is freshly made. It's also worth mentioning that the restaurant is owner-operated, with the owner himself cooking our meal. I've heard he has a background in some of Seattle's most renowned restaurants, like Le Pichet and Steelhead Diner. You can definitely see his expertise reflected in the menu and wine selection.
