What User doesn't like about Super Bueno:
Previously, one of the few good Mexican places in seattle was until they recently changed their menu. I have lots of dishes that made them unique, like the chimichanga, and converted to standard, bland, pnw Mexican tariff. extremely disappointing View all feedback.
Do not knock your socks from amazing, but definitely a cool room with some interesting food. The fried cod tacos are my favorite and their salsa verde is delicious. Margharitas are somehow expensive unless you go for the double size that it is worth.
Friendly staff, tasty Mexican food, clean and nicely styled interior. We went at happy hour on a Monday so it was quiet and orders came out fast deals are OK. Nut free except for a desert that's prepared off site. Oh and that have 2 Simpsons arcade machines. #elBarto
Came here for happy hour on opening day. Overall we thought the food was just fine but nothing that blew us away, and seemed a bit overpriced for what you get. FOOD: the Guajillo Steak Tacos on the happy hour menu are NOT steak tacos (they are shredded beef). The tamales were pretty good but lacked flavor. The nachos are huge and a good deal during HH, but they are a touch too greasy and overfried. DRINK: Zazu cocktail tasted bland and watered down, but the Bueno Margarita was good and the Senor Spielbergo was excellent! SPACE: it’s huge with lots of outdoor seating. We sat out on the patio by the restaurant side I saw dogs on the outside of the patio railing so I don't know if they are actually allowed on the patio itself. Overall the space is spacious and nice and trendy looking..but also very sterile feeling I would love to have had some music playing outside to liven things up.
I'm basing the 4 stars off a couple things. First, the food was good. It was standard fare for small bite tacos. It is very family friendly with a play area upstairs for little ones. I didn't know there were this many kids in Seattle. The one downside is cost per quantity. If it weren't for happy hour, I'm sure I would've been a little more disappointed as the portions are fairly small. Also, with nearly every table having children, with a DEDICATED play area upstairs, there are only 6 high chairs. I'm sure there were 20-30 children in the restaurant. No problem, toddler sat on my lap entire meal, but there is not a financial problem to buy more chairs. Our server was excellent... super fun, fast, and informative. Second visit months later. Changed to 3 stars. The food is really just ok. The service again was great and the staff is friendly and super bueno. The food is no bueno. None of the items are worth the charge. Go to pablo y pablo right down the street. It's much better.
Should be called ‘Super Disappointment’ Grabbed lunch with my wife. We were both exceedingly underwhelmed. We had drinks, apps, and various tacos- none of which were any good. Everything had a decent presentation but it was as if they are afraid of all the amazing flavors one thinks of when dreaming of Mexican street food. Beautiful slathered corn that was barely more than canned corn and mayonnaise. Gorgeous tacos overflowing with ingredients but none worth overflowing, and no crucial secondary tortilla to flow them over to. Guacamole served in a cute little jar but probably purchased in that same jar. Nothing fresh or juicy or bold about any of the items. Do yourself a favor and go up the street to Pablo y Pablo. It’s still over priced but at least it’s good.
