Great place, yummy food and an excellent waiter. Recommend their carrots. Best carrots ever. May seem odd to state that about a humble side, but they served it with a sauce of honey, avocado and feta. I'd like that sauce bottled up to take some home. I had the dry aged delmonico steak it was all right. I would not recommend, just not my taste. I started with the scallops, which were refreshing. My friend shared the carrots and had a four cheese pizza. The waiter was fantastic and kept an eye on us. Met a friend here who is hard of hearing, so I requested a table away from the crowd if possible. Got a nice table. They have patio seating as well.
Loved that we got outside seating now that the weather is nice. Cocktails were good but not our favorite, but food was all super great. By the end of our meal, we were all full and couldn't finish all of it. Service was very attentive and friendly. She even gave us bar recs :
My recent visit to Stoneburner in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance and attentive service set the stage for an exceptional evening. The service was excellent. Our waitress Allie engaged us in delightful conversation, making us feel welcome and at ease. She was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. She even brought us garlic bread on the house since she thought we were waiting too long. Very nice surprise and we didn't complain. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each leaving a lasting impression. The beef tartare was a revelation. The finely minced meat was seasoned perfectly with an egg on top, and the accompanying condiments elevated the flavors. The Snap Pea Salad was on point. I want to figure out their recipe. Maybe they will send it to me if I ask nicely. Fresh, crisp snap peas combined with a dill vinaigrette made for a refreshing starter. The charred broccoli was simple yet satisfying with their tahini sauce. The charred edges added a delightful crunch. The scallops were seared to perfection, tender and succulent. The accompanying sauce complemented them beautifully. The pillowy gnocchi, bathed in a ragu Bolognese sauce, was a comforting delight. I could've had more and thought the portion size was a little on the small size though. Overall Impression I thought the Stoneburner was a gem in the culinary landscape of Seattle. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. Make a reservation, as it tends to get busy! Bon appétit! We also walked into the hotel lobby since it's attached to the Ballard Hotel, and it was inviting and cozy. Check that out too if you go to the restrooms.
10/10 for food, service and ambiance. We had a great waitress and helped us pick a fantastic meal. Started with the olives and carrots both tremendously delicious. Then it got better we had 2 pizzas that were really great and some fresh pasta with mushrooms. Crazy good food !!!! Room is also beautiful!
We explored this Italian Mediterranean gem in the Ballard neighborhood. From the small plates, we indulged in the grilled artichoke and oyster mushrooms, which set the stage for what was to come. The star of the show was undoubtedly the pacherri pasta, its circular shape reminiscent of calamari. The crumbly chili pieces added a pleasant kick, although I personally could have used a bit more heat. Now, for the vegetable dishes, they were described as grilled or roasted, but in my opinion, they leaned more toward a charred flavor profile, which wasn't to my taste. However, my friend adored the charred bits, and I'm glad someone enjoyed them. For cocktails, I had the Cozumel cooler martini, which I loved! The icing on the cake was everything was reasonably priced. A unique dining experience with a few surprises, but overall, a great find in Seattle, made even better by the pleasant outdoor and indoor seating options.
