Great small venue for live music, good sound and lighting. There's an ever-changing beer selection and the food is really good. The Seattle Cheesesteak is a wonderful thing. And somehow they manage to make especially awesome tater tots, which I didn't know was even possible. Great bunch of people run the place and service is always very good. View all feedback.
What Mckenna Howell dislikes about Skylark Cafe:
the staff was great, but the open microphone leaves a lot of room for improvement. everyone will show up as soon as he's finished. do not ask them to have a bit more treble on their vocals or they will curl it so high for their vocals and gitarre, so it sounds like their play in a dose. they must be one of the first 6 people on the list if they want to play for everyone View all feedback.
Cozy little venue in West Seattle I HIGHLY recommend. Decent sized stage, excellent sound, the drinks are strong and cheap, and the staff is the best-est!!!!
Their sandwiches are good. They house cure a lot of the meats used in the sandwiches. Top notch fried chicken and the tots are great.
Great fun for brunch or takeout, and surprisingly excellent smoked meats for sale by the pound. I got a whole smoked turkey for Thanksgiving (plus gravy! and it was easily the best Thanksgiving bird I've ever had. I hope they keep doing Thanksgiving meals to order ahead, because we'll definitely be doing it again next year!
A small fun local bar with trivia, love music and unhealthy drink portions anyone can appreciate.
I generally like this place. The drinks are decent, they have interesting events, staff is pretty friendly, and the smoked chicken wings are addictive. The fried chicken tenders, however, have a weird burnt taste and texture to them imo. I would def go with a smoked meat item before any of the deep fried ones. Also I used to be in love with a tofu cheese steak sandwich they used to make it was sooo good! I'd order one to eat there and a second to-go for later. It really hurt my feelings when they took this one off the menu. Plz bring it back
