It offers everything you could need—there's a front area for coffee, pastries, and laptops (they also serve beer and wine here). Then, there's a cozy café space with a patio. Downstairs, you'll find a bar area with game tables. And it even has a bookstore! It's dog-friendly and buys your used books. I couldn't ask for more! It's quickly becoming my favorite spot to work.

It's a bookstore, café, bar, and restaurant all in one, with outdoor seating—and I honestly thought it was impossible for one place to do all of these things well. I was wrong! They excel at everything they offer. I can't wait to return, grab a book, enjoy a drink, savor some delicious food, and relax outside before winter arrives!

I came looking... read more Having move to Seattle recently, I am happily exploring my new home. Raconteur is a restaurant sharing space with a book store in Columbia City. I came looking for a nice place to enjoy a coffee while writing in the morning. What I found was a great spot to relax, have some great coffee while writing, and a wonderful book store, Third Place Books. Raconteur has more space down stairs with what looks to be a bar. All in all, this is a great little gem tucked away in a beautiful residential neighborhood above Lake Washington.

The staff are friendly and professional...quick services. There's free parking but the lot is small so come at off peak hours. I ordered the Seward Park Breakfast: generous potato, 3 chicken sausage, English muffin, and 2 eggs.
