What Amber S likes about Poppy:
In March 2019 they were doing a special where Happy Hour ran all night. Limited but delicious happy hour menu. Two in our group got the Happy Hour Thali and the other two got Naanwiches. Everybody really enjoyed their meal. I also had a Herbs and the Bees cocktail and thought it was great. View all feedback. What Suzanne Balistreri doesn't like about Poppy:
Poor service, we had a long wait to be seated despite reservations and to get served. The Thali was a joke for the amount charged, and was served after we threatened to leave due to the long wait. I was truly disappointed! View all feedback.

Today is a sad day as it is the last, the Poppy's... thanks to you that you are serving so many years of great eating.
The food was creatively made and beautifully presented. We join countless Poppy fans lauding their success and wishing Jerry and Steve ‘happy trails’.
Very slow service but drinks were free to make up for service
Sooooo slow. The kitchen was understaffed. Took an hour and a half to get our food. The server was apologetic and they comped our drinks, but still!
Food was good. Service was really, really bad. I guess it doesn’t matter since the restaurant is closing so why put forth any effort? Ugh.

read morePoppy, a beloved Seattle restaurant that recently closed its doors after 11 years of serving beautiful, imaginative, and delicious food, left a lasting impression on many diners. With a menu offering a fusion of Indian-inspired dishes and small plates, customers enjoyed sampling a variety of flavorful options. The Thali plate, a collection of different plates, was a popular choice, along with appetizers like the Thai sausage and Naanwiches. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with sunlit interiors and friendly servers. Although the service had mixed reviews, the food was consistently praised for its quality and taste. Overall, Poppy was a gem in the Seattle food scene that will be missed by many.
