Pike Place Chowder

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the city, this seafood haven is a must-visit for chowder enthusiasts. Guests rave about the New England and Manhattan clam chowders, often highlighting the flavorful 4-cup sampler, which allows patrons to indulge in multiple varieties. While the restaurant offers a casual, fast-food atmosphere, the exceptional quality of the soups and fresh sourdough bread keeps diners coming back for more. Though some dishes, like the lobster roll, received mixed feedback, the standout chowders solidify this restaurant's reputation as a top choice for seafood lovers. Tasty chowder and fair prices. I had the New England clam chowder and the salmon chowder. Both were very good. The restaurant is on the 4th floor.
I also tried the CT style Dungeness crab roll, which was generously stuffed with crab and served on a nicely toasted roll. However, I found the dish to be overly heavy on the lemon, which overwhelmed the sweetness of the crab and left the flavors unbalanced, in my opinion. Overall, the chowder is definitely the standout dish and I would come back for more. I regret not having the appetite to try the chowder fries on this visit, but if I am ever in Seattle again, I will definitely return to this restaurant.
I ordered the lobster sandwich combo with New England clam chowder. The lobster was decent, it tasted good but I'm not a big fan of lobster. The bread, on the other hand, was delicious and sweet. The clam chowder was also delicious. I'll probably come back, but I'll stick to the chowders next time.
I've never really liked chowders, but the chowder here is next level. Great service, fun atmosphere, and the food is amazing! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
