Reviews - Pie Capitol Hill
Reviews summary
Tucked away in Seattle, Pie Bar serves up an eclectic and cozy atmosphere, making it a must-visit for pie lovers. With a charming, albeit limited space, the venue buzzes with friendly service and creative beverages. Their fresh, homemade pies, especially the chocolate cream and Desserted Island Crumble, delight with buttery crusts and robust flavors. While aesthetics may sometimes fall short—accusations of 'gloopy' appearances linger—it's the flavor that matters most. Popular for late-night munchies, those willing to brave the lines will find a delicious experience, best enjoyed on-site or at their convenient takeout window.

Great spot! They offer delicious pizza and refreshing drinks. The indoor space is a bit small, but the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. Parking can be a bit challenging, but I've been fortunate in finding a spot. View all feedback.
What Adam G dislikes about Pie Capitol Hill:
First issue: we were given apple pie instead of coconut cream pie Second issue: both pies received did not look like a slice of pie at all but a gloopy mess of fruit and sugary syrup with little to know crust or crumble topping. I wouldn’t recommend that it be warmed up prior to giving to customer for take out orders. I do not recommend. View all feedback.

Bar Hopping around the Hill I stumbled upon the Pie Bar I seen on Social Media. The Kind Michelle outside asked if I wanted a Pie. I thought about taking it to go then she told me about karaoke . Inside sounds so fun and the people are so friendly. The vibes are awesome and who knew a late night pie and ice cream was just what I needed. Awesome Pie. Awesome Ice cream. Amazing Vibes. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered a apple pie with ice cream, strawberry pie, and deserted island pie to take back to our room. We were super excited to get back to our room to eat our pies after a night of riding around in scooters through Seattle. I can’t lie and say the pies were bad. They were ok. The one star review is due to the service, they didn’t have anymore strawberry pie, and the fact that I got back to my room and my apple pie did not have ice cream, as we had paid for.

I discovered this place while strolling around Capitol Hill and was initially hesitant to spend $8 on a slice of pie. However, it turned out to be one of the best pies I've ever had! It had the perfect combination of crunch, flavor, gooeyness, and plenty of butter. The staff is also incredibly friendly!
Tiny tiny place that had great music playing as I ate my pie and sipped my pietini. I recommend the Key Lime Pietini if you love key lime pie — it was basically like drinking liquid key lime pie. We shared a slice of Mud Pie and Deserted Island Pie and both were great.
Great food and drinks, if you can get it. Got here and the front door was roped off with a cone in front of the door?? Checked Google again and the hours said they were open, so we called and after someone finally answered the phone they confirmed they were open. So we asked to be let inside. After we sat, we were awkwardly waiting for our drinks to be made while a group of people stood outside watching us wondering how they could also get in. The girls working seemed as if they would rather be anywhere else, but they made us a good drink. The pie was 10/10 but the service left so much to be desired. Felt like fish in a tank while everyone stood outside being ignored by the staff trying to figure out how to get in.

I'm a big-time pie lover and I keep searching for the best that is out there. On a recent trip to Seattle we discovered the Pie Bar. Serving both savory and sweet pies. Apparently there are other pie bars in this city, but this one is the original pie bar and it is on Olive Way. The place is run by a beautiful couple, who are very friendly, very accommodating and provide spectacular service. It is a small joint, but we were lucky to get four seats at the bar. We only came here for pies and ordered two slices of the Desserted Island Crumble. This contains Granny Smith apples, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, delicious crumble. Let me preempt this review. All the pies are freshly made daily and it is a very small operation and place. Seats may take time to get and occupy. But let me ask you this.... are you willing to wait in line and even in the cold to have pies that will blow you away? You should, because you will never forget this place.
Who wouldn 't like a tiny dive bar with really good drinks and amazing home made pies? This is a must visit spot if you 're in the greater Seattle area. I read a review that said the apple pie looked, for lack of a better word, disheveled and yeah, it did. But I remember the words of my late Grandma Bella, It all goes in the same place and comes out the same place. And perhaps I 'm wrong but I 'd rather have an amazing piece of pie that looks messy than the opposite. This is truly an amazing late night spot. I didn 't count but I 'm pretty sure it only holds about a dozen people. You 're able to hit up a window for to-go orders but for me it 's all about the vibe. Watching the bartender mix drinks or whip up a batch of fresh whipped cream just adds to an overall unique experience and while I 've heard there are imitators, for me this will always be the one and only. 2 stars for decor, 7 for food drink.
That evening, I opted for the takeout window, which I absolutely loved. I ordered two apple cakes to savor at home. Their drinks are fantastic, too, especially with the cake crust along the rim — a delightful combination! I still need to try their sweeter cakes, but since I haven't been able to visit in some time, I'm content with picking up their dessert cakes for now. I hope they consider opening more locations further south and perhaps a larger bar area. The limited seating is the only reason I'm not giving them a five-star rating. Overall, it’s a great spot to grab a cake!
We had been wanting to try this place for a while, and several friends recommended it. We ordered four different types of cakes to sample a variety. Out of the four, we really enjoyed two. The abandoned island cake was absolutely delicious, featuring an incredible topping, and the chocolate cream cake was also quite good. I would return, but only for those two.
Sometimes you're looking for a piece of cake at night. If you're in Seattle, Pie Bar is where you get it! They do one thing, and they do it well. The bar is tiny, fire about 15 very friendly people. There is a shop window that rings the bell to go a freshly made cake! My long time is the abandoned island cake. It has a mix of apples and berries with a flocky crust and just a bit crisp on it. Clear!
