This place is absolutely disgusting. The food is awful — overly greasy, heavy, and made me feel sick after just a few bites. Everything tasted like it was drowned in old oil, with zero care or quality. The environment is just as bad. The tables feel sticky, the air is full of greasy smells, and the whole restaurant feels dirty and uncomfortable. It’s honestly nauseating to sit there. Overall, this is a trash place. One visit was more than enough. I will never come back, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Completely gross and disappointing. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
My family and I have been coming to Ocean Star for years as a tradition. The food has been wonderful every time, a nice variety of dishes and plenty of options for both meat and vegetarian meals. Everything is undeniably delicious. I see many people complaining about the service; the waiters and waitresses are not cold, they are just doing their jobs, and all you have to do is get their attention. Top dishes: ⁃ Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken ⁃ Sesame balls ⁃ Green beans ⁃ Shu mai ⁃ Salt and pepper tofu Thank you Ocean Star!!!!! Food and service were top notch. Older building, big and drafty, but the food makes up for it! I really appreciate the gluten-free options here! There's an older lady who is very knowledgeable about gluten-free foods.
I visited this restaurant with a close friend. Although his appearance can sometimes make others feel uneasy, the staff here were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious as well. Plus, it's one of the few dim sum places that offers parking, which is a nice bonus!
