Was Sharon Smith at Lady Jaye a mag?
Went to check out Lady Jaye’s last week. The special was skirt steak with great veggies on a tasty warm bun. I also had the black eyed beans with pork bits (absolutely fantastic, best baked-beans-yum ever. My son used half of it to dip pork slices in, and his eyes rolled back in pleasure. I had watermelon salad and the mustardy sauce on bottom I well worth digging for. Fries are shoestring type , still very tasty. Co... View all feedback.
What Susie Saalwaechter dislikes about Lady Jaye:
I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant because I had heard great things about it. We ordered the Bulgogi short rib melt, but unfortunately, it was extremely salty and difficult to finish. We also tried the pot roast, which was tough and dry despite the accompanying juices. The sides were good, though. We plan to return to sample other dishes, but these two were definitely a letdown. View all feedback.
Hit up their special morning bakery hours Sundays at 10am. The line forms fast so arrive early. Their lemon loaf, and chocolate brownie are some of the best that I've tasted. WOW!
When the weather is nice go for the back patio area. The food was all good and quite a variety of sides to choose from.
I came all the way over to West Seattle from eastside specifically for this restaurant and I was absolutely blown away. Every single dish, drink, and dessert was top notch. Not a single note wrong, the dining room smells like popcorn, and the service was out of this world. Make the trip, this is an institution you cannot afford to miss.
Definitely a place to go if you want to spoil yourself! Great cocktails, friendly staff and very well done. Even though it is definitely a meat forward restaurant they have some other great options! Love the crab roll!
Made reservations a couple weeks ago as their burger night has been in my dreams for a while now. Finally got a chance to experience it in real life and it did not disappoint! And while they are known for their extensive dark liquor selection, Iappreciated that they had some non-alcoholic mixed drinks, too. It's both the quality of the food and the welcoming nature thatkeep us coming back. Also, shoutout to Sierra for the awesome service!
