Went to check out Lady Jaye’s last week. The special was skirt steak with great veggies on a tasty warm bun. I also had the black eyed beans with pork bits (absolutely fantastic, best baked-beans-yum ever. My son used half of it to dip pork slices in, and his eyes rolled back in pleasure. I had watermelon salad and the mustardy sauce on bottom I well worth digging for. Fries are shoestring type , still very tasty. Co... View all feedback.
What Susie Saalwaechter doesn't like about Lady Jaye:
Was really looking forward to this place because we had heard good things. We tried the Bulgogi short rib melt, and it was extraordinarily salty. Could barely finish it. Also the Pot Roast. It was tough and dry in spite of the juices. Sides were good. We'll be back to try other dishes but these two were a disappointment. View all feedback.
Favorite restaurant in Seattle, hands down! The food is always amazing and cocktails are on point. Bartenders also know how to go off script and make and incredible drink!

1st time here based on a friend's recommendation. The patio out back was nice and does seems to have a good smoked meat selections.Decided to get the pork porchetta, NY smoked pork, all the sides other then the kale salad. The foods came rather fast and nicely presented. However. We did felt lithe the meats aren't as smokey as we would have preferred. Not sure this is the style of smoked meat instead of BBQ that is more intense in the smoke flavors. They were mostly a bit of one note. The porchetta sausage part was on the dry side and pork was fatty. Meats from both dishes were tender, at least. The sides were ok. BBQ beans again lacking in flavors. The apple salad and Brussel sprouts (with Hoisin and that's how I prepared mine too! were our favorites. We agreed that the soft serve ice cream was the highlight. I decided to go with the Wagu fat cookie crumble topping. Pretty good.
I came all the way over to West Seattle from eastside specifically for this restaurant and I was absolutely blown away. Every single dish, drink, and dessert was top notch. Not a single note wrong, the dining room smells like popcorn, and the service was out of this world. Make the trip, this is an institution you cannot afford to miss.
Wow! What a gem of a dining and drinking spot in West Seattle. The food was incredible. I had the smoked waygu cheeseburger. Nice and rare, juicy and flavorful with the extra kick that comes with the smokiness. As a non drinker, I often find spots that are equal parts bar and restaurant to be a little out of my wheelhouse it always feels unappreciated to order a diet soda when a place has carefully curated a cocktail menu but this was NOT the case at Lady Jaye. I ordered a Not Today Satan from the alcohol free section of the bar menu and was very impressed with the drink. The same care and deliberate fun went into crafting this raspberry mint libation as would go into any of their more boozy cocktails.I felt like a king with my grown up kiddie drink! And I will return every single time I am in the neighborhood.
