First time, won't be my last. We strolled in at 330 pm and it was nearly empty. Low key, authentic mom and pop vibe. First observation was clean; yes they have boxes lined up in the hall, and it was not absolutely meticulous, but the cook was crushing a cleaning job in the kitchen after their lunch rush, they were vacuuming the main walk paths, and the bathroom was taken care of. Second observation, Friendly. Good co... View all feedback.
What Ryan L doesn't like about Julies Garden:
The restaurant used incorrect ingredients for basic Americanized Chinese cuisine. The lo mein noodles were not right, and the sauce for the General Tso's chicken was diluted with water. The quality was terrible. View all feedback.
Still amazing food and people. My kids do a song and dance when ever we get a chance to go and getting 3 young kids to agree on any food let alone sing its praises should tell you something right there.
(This refers to a lunch delivery order. I haven't yet been there in person. Such great, vibrant food! The sweet and sour chicken was right in the sweet spot between the grocery deli stuff and the upscale delivery stuff in other words, would be great for a hangover, but also happily enjoyed without one! I love that you can sub fried rice over steamed for no upcharge. The pot stickers looked a little limp initially but were actually pleasantly firm and delicious. The biggest surprise was the veggie egg roll flavorful, not a grease bomb, just right!
Wow. Unspeakable. In the winter storm on Tuesday to find a family whose willing to open business, I am thankful while all the neighboring restaurants were closed. I came in and they quickly greeted me with a table after checking the COVID-19 vaccine card. I got a glass of ice water right away and they asked if I had any questions on the menu. I ordered General Tso's chicken with fried rice and it came with a small cup of soup. Price was very reasonable because it is in downtown and inflation is occurring. HOWEVER, the portion size was more than what you can get in China Town. I was amazed and it was delicious. I was stuffed with food, and everything was excellent. Food, service, and employees. I definitely recommend this place. They are an amazing family to be served with great Chinese food.
Food was good and hot : Large portions are. Friendly service.
They are so so good, and Julie is so so nice! I just found out they will be closing for good on May 27th, which saddens me greatly. I will be trying to visit I've last time before then. Thank you Julie for being such a wonderful restaurateur!
