Issian Stone Grill - Seattle
Issian Stone Grill
Description
At this popular Izakaya, the atmosphere is lively, though often overshadowed by overwhelming smoke from the grill. While the menu has become more limited in recent visits, the raw fish dishes continue to impress. Many patrons appreciate the value of the happy hour, which offers delightful options at reasonable prices. However, service can falter due to understaffing, leading to long waits and disorganization. While some dishes, like the yakitori and udon, shine with authentic flavors, others miss the mark. Despite its inconsistencies, many still relish the experience and commend the welcoming staff.

Some dishes were very good and some were okay. I’d go again, I’ve only been once. The restaurant itself is very busy and pretty tight. Hard to bring a stroller in if you have a little one. They made it work but it was def tight. Since the restaurant is small, it gets toasty quick during dinner rush. Overall good, but nothing crazy. Our go to spot. Every time we go somewhere else we end up thinking why didn't we go to Issian instead. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ordered a ton of food and variety and there wasn't a single miss. Seriously you can't go wrong. Just bring a friend and have fun experiencing different things on the menu
Love this place. Very similar to izakaya experiences in Japan and delicious food
