Hannyatou is a cozy, izakaya-style spot serving authentic, creative Japanese small plates, craft cocktails, and an excellent sake selection. Bar seating and a covered deck make it ideal for pre-dinner drinks, dates, birthdays, or visitors; staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, and the rotating menu yields standout bites like katsu sando, raw octopus, tofu, and pâté. Expect snack-sized portions, a one-drink-per-person policy, and occasional service or seating hiccups.
There are culinary adventures, and then there are mind blowing fusion experiences. Hannyatou is one of those experiences, and should not be missed. With a friendly and helpful staff, amazing drink selection, and phenomenal food options this is one of those small off-the-beaten-path places worth the time and effort to find. In today's age this is one of those places worth every cent, and them some.
This is a great addition to compliment Kamonegi; which doesn?t have a bar but has great food and usually a long wait. This place is truly as authentic Japanese as you can get in town, down to the tiny restroom. Hannyatou is a small yet cozy little spot with a nice selection of sake, that is nice for small plates and drinks or just for drinks while you wait for Kamonegi. Highly recommended!
This is my go to place for taking people visiting from out of town. Everyone I've taken here also loves it. Staff is knowledgeable and personable. The sake exquisite and the food delicious.
Great place to try sake. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–70
My partner and I fully enjoyed the drinks here. We both got a flight of sake. We also had the ramen snacks, the brussel sprouts, and the sausage. My partner finished the night off with an Old Fashioned. We loved everything about this place. I have a sulfate allergy, so enjoy drinks besides beer and hard liquor is hard to do. So I have been exploring different sakes. This place was very good. It is really small, so its not good for large groups. I'd say the biggest table could have 4 people. So this is a great place for a date. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other Price per person: $30–50 Parking options: Parking is unavailable Parking: There is street parking, but its really a roll of the dice if any of it is open.
