This place is truly as authentic Japanese... read more This is a great addition to compliment Kamonegi; which doesn?t have a bar but has great food and usually a long wait. This place is truly as authentic Japanese as you can get in town, down to the tiny restroom. Hannyatou is a small yet cozy little spot with a nice selection of sake, that is nice for small plates and drinks or just for drinks while you wait for Kamonegi. Highly recommended!

With a friendly and helpful staff, amazing drink selection, and phenomenal food options this is one of those small off-the-beaten-path places worth the time and effort to find. In today's age this is one of those places worth every cent, and them some.

My partner finished the night off with an Old Fashioned. We loved everything about this place. I have a sulfate allergy, so enjoy drinks besides beer and hard liquor is hard to do. So I have been exploring different sakes. This place was very good. It is really small, so its not good for large groups. I'd say the biggest table could have 4 people. So this is a great place for a date.
