The afternoon tea at the Fairmont is a special occasion treat. We enjoyed the delicious tea sandwiches, scones and pastries. The setting is beautiful and very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the waiter offered us champagne to start and he brought out an opened bottle of Veuve clicquot. Of course he was aware that they had Cava and Prosecco, but did not offer either, he brought the most expensive. The Veuve w... View all feedback.

I go quite often after afternoon tea in the usa and wherever it is offered in traditional British options with sandwiches, scones and sweets. here you will find elegant hotels, British palaces and london teestuben. the service and the ambiente in fairmont were beautiful. the price was not there. for 75.00 per person, they were served their choice of tee, there were 3 tiny open sandwiches, a spoon with a drop of somet... The egg salad had too much curry in it. Other than that, it was good. It was way too noisy for us. Which made it hard to hear. With 3 at the table was good except I had to lean way to forward for the food and to eat, hard on the back. The table should have been a little closer. The service was outstanding. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon, Hilda
Great tea. Very nice atmosphere with very fresh sandwiches etc. The scones were my favorite.
Space ambience is really good after they renovate the space. Overall afternoon tea experience was not meeting my expectations. They come to our table every 10 min to check out, which is very annoying. I feel really rushed. They must have made the tray in advance, so it was served super fast but all the tea sandwich bread was dried out. Since they keep coming to our table to check and ask if there is anything we need, so I asked for a little more clotted cream for my scone and they said it is not possible to bring it because it is set one per serving. Not sure whether I want to go back.
I loved that the Fairmont kept it local by adding a Dungeness crab profiterole and marionberry jam. The savory options were really good. Having experienced high tea a lot, I felt like the sweet options could've included a few more refined options other than the thumbprint cookie and what was passed as a bon bon. Overall it was good. Service was alright, but not exceptional where we felt like they were attentive to the small details. Over priced compared to comparable options.
The afternoon tea was really nice, the pastry is better than most places I've been to. The room was nice and the ambiance was very cozy. The servers were not really attentive though, maybe because they were understaffed. The price was really expensive for such portion and in comparison with other items in the menu. I'll come back for the food, but not for the afternoon tea though.
