Simple and good. Great value, comfortable atmosphere off busy Madison, and friendly staff. Definitely returning. So friendly and chill the afternoon light coming through the windows, great place to chill View all feedback.
What Jesse Hart doesn't like about El Gallito:
My daughter likes this place for whatever reason. I want to rate the service higher since it looks to be understaffed, but expect to wait. The music is also too loud in some parts of the place and too quiet in other parts. The food is bland, somehow even if you adds lots of salsa. It just feels like management doesn't put much or any effort into making the place good. View all feedback.
The best tamales, I have found in the northwest. Always good with everything I have tried. Great family owned and operated restaurant. And GREAT margaritas.
Delicious food in Cap Hill! Boyfriend says it reminds him of family owned taquerias in Cali. I was excited for the chorizo con huevos :

My favorite Mexican food ever!! Any time I visit Seattle it's a must stop. I lived in the area for 9 years and had food from there almost weekly.
I used to live right by this spot, and it was a staple for birthdays and any celebration for my friends and I. Being from Southern California I grew up with amazing Mexican food, and El Gallito always delivered delicious comfort food with large portions for a reasonable price. First place I’ll be going to eat when I’m back in town!
