This restaurant has the best cupcakes and offers friendly service! It's recommended to go early as they sell out by early afternoon. Having this business in West Seattle is fantastic. View all feedback.
What Vivi doesn't like about Cupcake Royale:
I typically enjoy Cupcake Royale, but when my sister had some delivered to me for my birthday, the cupcake arrived upside down. It couldn't have just flipped over by itself. I was disappointed by this experience. View all feedback.
Spat out my cupcake in disgust! dry cake and what tasted like spoiled cheese (marscapone? in the Tiramisu frosting, kinda run down feeling inside. however i gotta say the coffee was pretty decent so only reason why there is a second star, almost bad enough to reconsider to one star, I will never go back!
Flavors are hit-and-miss. Some are dry, others great. There is always a fun variety to choose from! Customer service is lacking. Last time I was there, there was a big 'old fly, making its way from cupcake to cupcake in the display case. We commented to one another about it with no response from the staff person. So, we told her directly that there was a fly on the cupcakes. She said, Yeah, there 's not much I can do about that. She didn 't even try to shoo it away- Just let it continue its feast! Eew!!
Cupcakes ain’t all that for their terrible customer service. They don’t even great you or acknowledge when you come in.
Dry lemon cupcake. For $5 each you can do better than what tasted like days old. Other two were slightly better. Also policing masks as customers come through the door only to have them take them off to eat and drink is bonkers.
The cupcakes here are okay, definitely overpriced, but what gets me is that every time I’ve gone in there the cashier that is there is so uninviting towards me and makes me feel like coming in and getting a snack from them is a burden. It’s one thing if you’re having a bad day but it’s happened every time I’ve come in, he even denied me ice cream at one point because he didn’t want to go to the trouble of getting it for me. Why offer ice cream if you’re going to make the customer feel bad for asking for it and then not serve it to them??? I’m sure there are more friendly employees besides this person but they are always working when I come in and they are not polite in the slightest. As someone who worked in retail for so long I was dumbfounded at the blatant negative attitude by this employee. I haven’t gone back because of this. Why patronize a business that makes you feel like you’re burdening them with your patronage? No thanks
