4.5 The hand pie was delicious. The espresso coffee was high quality and the potato salad was also verily nice. Good service.
Just moved to the neighborhood and have tried going to this place several times. It was closed for days despite saying it was open online and there was no sign on the door saying it was closed- just a sign with its hours that claimed it was open. Went today with friends from out of town after calling to ensure it was actually open. We walked by someone right in front of the restaurant who was eating. Inside there was no one working. We called out hello a few times and waited five minutes. Since no one was there we want back outside to ask the person eating how they got their food, and the person said they were on their break for ten more minutes. We had walked right by this employee on the way in and they didn?t bother to say anything such as ?I?m the only employee today and am on my break for ten more minutes? instead they let us go inside and wait around confused. Sadly I won?t be back now. It is not worth the hassle of never knowing if it will be open or if you will even be able to be served.
Had a very hearty breakfast here. Soup was served with a generous portion of quinoa, and the veggie bowl was delicious. They open at 7am so it?s perfect for early risers. Pancakes and waffles are only served on weekends though.
Fresh, made-to-order meals with tasty and healthy ingredients. The peanut butter cookie was fluffy and moist, the artichoke melt had delicious sauces, the quarantine smoothie was sweet but not too sweet, the lentil soup was filling, the staff was friendly and very helpful, and the location is superb.
Once thriving as Chaco Canyon, Broadfork Cafe now struggles to find its footing. While the menu features fresh, vegan options, including standout gluten-free items, the overall experience varies significantly. Patrons have reported unclean conditions, poor service, and inconsistent hours, causing frustration for newcomers and regulars alike. Though some dishes, like the grilled kimchi cheese and peanut butter cookie, have earned praise for their taste and creativity, service issues—including rude staff interactions—have left diners disappointed. With potential evident in its offerings, Broadfork Cafe hopes to rectify its missteps and reclaim its former glory.

Walked 1.5 miles to get here and closed due to staffing shortage. Moral if the story: call ahead.
Was amazing food! I had the grilled kimchi cheese. Best grilled cheese I've ever had. Salad with it was delicious too. The person behind the counter was excellent. They went out of their way multiple times to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Only criticism I have of the atmosphere is that I wish there was a little music playing in the background as business was slow so it was dead silent other than the machines. Otherwise, the interior decoration was great, especially the funky wallpaper.
Finally stopped here the other day for the first time and the service was impeccable. The woman there was extremely friendly and allowed us to stay late while she cleaned so we could eat our food in-house before they closed. The smoothie was delicious; I tried a smoothie that had the word pandemic in the title, and I added kale. I will definitely be going back for this again. The sweet potato kale bowl was also delicious. It was warm, perfectly cooked and had a lot of flavor. My only critique, and it's a small one, is there prices are HIGH. I paid $26 tip for a sweet potato bowl and a smoothie. I'd come here regularly because I work extremely close, but I feel like at that price point, it will think twice about visiting as regularly as I'd otherwise want to. Overall, I highly recommend trying especially if you're vegan!
Super tasty and wholesome vegan food. They were out of a lot of ingredients, but they were still able to make me this awesome veggie bowl (very generous portion size! with broccoli cheese soup.

They must have had a bunch of online orders when I walked in, but I waited about 40 minutes for a really small/overpriced bowl. It looked like about a cup of food total. I got the yam and kale bowl, and it's tasty but a waste of time and money. The Udistrict location is way better it matches the pictures and has the full menu.

This restaurant used to be Chaco Canyon but has now transitioned to Broadfork Cafe. Unfortunately, my visit to Broadfork was quite disappointing. The place was in need of a good clean, with trash scattered on the floor and flies buzzing around the water station for refills. The food preparation area had old, caked food stuck to the walls, utensils, and countertops. To make matters worse, one of my orders was overlooked, despite there being three staff members on duty and no other customers present. The menu was quite limited, and many items were unavailable. The lighting was also lacking; several bulbs were flickering or burnt out. Overall, it gave the impression of a poorly managed establishment. It’s a shame because their gluten-free bread is fantastic. I hope they can make improvements in the future.
The dining experience began well but took a disappointing turn. I ordered the Veggie Kick Burrito, which was tasty, generously sized, and nicely warmed. However, my enjoyment quickly vanished when I found a long strand of hair mixed in with the rice in the middle of the burrito. This completely ruined my appetite. It would be wise for management to consider using hair nets to prevent similar incidents for hungry customers in the future.
The food was outstanding, but the service left much to be desired. The staff member who took our order was quite rude and dismissive. When I asked about desserts later on, they just said "no" and walked away without offering any more information. I had planned to order a coffee to take with me, but it felt like they weren't interested in assisting me, as I was left waiting without any help.
