My husband and I used a discount voucher and discovered this charming hidden gem. The food was amazing and freshly made. Everything was delicious and clearly homemade. The service was fantastic as well. Don't overlook this cozy, romantic restaurant for an authentic Italian meal. We will definitely return, with or without a discount voucher! View all feedback.
Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. We loved it!
Tooo much fun!. My husband and I went in Sept. we had a fabulous time. Terrific concept. Loved the venue, loved the people, adored Luigi and yummy, yummy, yummy food. Don't hesitate. This is such a wonderful experience. You'll learn, laugh and eat well. Just do it!
Dine Here again? Absolutely. . .YES!!. I have dined at Al Boccalino on two occasions as of this entry, the first on Aug-12, the second on Aug-24. The waiters and waitress provide superb service!<br/ <br/ Luigi has incorporated his talent to provide extraordinary tasty cuisine. His cooking classes are well reviewed, I have observed two of them, watched the participants enjoy the practice and demonstration. The participants have seemed to thoroughly enjoy the demonstration. I think the time is coming to participate in one of his classes!<br/ <br/ This review pertains to the date of Aug-24-2011: My order was one of the specials of the day; Risotto with Italian Sausage, Snow peas and Fresh Leeks. Desert consisted of Tiramisu and a very smooth and rich coffee! The entire meal was . . . delicious, appetizing, delectable, and simply YUMMY! I almost cannot wait to dine here again!!
Found this place on accident..... We just had some family in town who are picky eaters. Trying to find a restaurant to take them to is really difficult. I found Al Boccalino by accident while meeting up with them down by the water and decided that since they had a chicken parm and a pasta w/ meatballs (simple enough for my picky eaters) that this was where we were going to eat. I am so glad that we did! We were warmly greeted by the chef who doted on my mother-in-law and her sister. I am a big fan of amuse bouche but the oily olives and peppers that we received were not that appetizing. I didn't let that spoil my night.....the Portabello Fries made up for it. Yum! My lamb came out a little overcooked (I ordered MR) but it was still delicious, I am just a sucker for a lamb chop. The chicken parm was fantastic. Even though there were a couple of things that could have been better I am definitely willing to go back and try out some of their other menu items. You can't beat the price of their small plates....and their house red is pretty tasty. The setting is cozy and warm and the service was good. Is it 5 star, no, but when you're up for a casual Italian meal in a comfortable setting I would say this place is worth it.
If you are into charming good Italian this place is for you. the entertainment coupon book made us go there and we were happy with the choice. pastas around $15-20. the eggplant was amazing as well as their garlic bread. the bruschetta was delicious but pricey/small portion. house wine was also great
